As I started today, I took time to pray and be quiet with the Lord and as such just got time to read the devotion. I am glad I took the time. It gave me the opportunity to live what is being advocate in today's devotion. Today might be a good day or a bad day, however, because I spent time with the Lord, I know it will be a good day! And because I know it will be a good day, I am excited about, excited when normally I would be afraid, excited even though I don't know what is in store for me today.
Are you excited because you took time to be with the Lord?

Jan 11th Daily Reflection
Giving thanks to the Lord for listening to you and giving you the ability to lay your concerns at his feet - something we do pretty well. However, thanking him for the awesome future even though you don't have any physical sign it will be awesome - that's a level of faith we struggle with. Believing that all things will be okay even when your mind cant't fathom the solutions is a transformation from earthly living to heavenly living. Living by faith in the Lord without any confirmation that it's the way to be - that's living!

Jan 10th Daily Reflection
Saving our trust coins during times of good so that in times of trouble we are able to spend from our trust savings. I like that, putting how we should trust the Lord in a context we can easily follow. Trusting the Lord that he will continue to provide us with blessings so the good life can continue and acknowledging him when opportunities fall into that life. Pretty cool way to look at our relationship with the Lord.

Jan 7th Daily Reflection
Giving thanks to the Lord - you can never thank him enough. I thought about this and realized that thanking the Lord doesn't mean only thank him thru prays but thanking him by saying thanks to those in your life who helped you and even to those whom you preceived to have harmed you. So it as if we should be giving thanks to the Lord while thanking those around us who the Lord manifests himself in. Wow, an incredibly different way of looking at giving thank!
How are you thanking those around you while simultanteously thanking the Lord?

Jan 6th Daily Reflection
I smiled as I read today's devotion because it reminds us that FULLY trusting in the Lord is the only way to TRULY enjoy life on earth, worryfree and fully engaged! Some think that this faith is a bit childish or even crazy, however, if you simply trust and keep your faith eyes open, all day long you will see the Lord's small miracles. And it's these small miracles that make life so wonderful!

Jan 5th Daily Reflection
We live a victorious life with the Lord! What else is there to say? This is so true and it reminds us that victory is only possible thru failures and trials because you must overcome something to be victorious. A very simple directive that is so difficult to adhere to without constant communication with the Lord.

Jan 4th Daily Reflection
The devotions over the past few days spoke of the peace of the Lord, the peace that you get even when things are not perfect, the peace you receive after you have spent quiet time with the Lord. As we start 2012, this peace is what is going to help us see the wonderfulness of the upcoming year and that whatever we think is bad is actually good - good for our soul, good for our growth and good for our love of the Lord! As I am enjoying this new peace, I am concious that it is because of my closeness to the Lord and the daily renewal of our relationship, taking the time to tend to our love affair.
How are you at peace with the Lord?
